Senior infrastructure engineering, wholesale.
White-labelled, fixed-price, and never in front of your client. For Australian MSPs who need a specialist for one project, not another salary.
The work you’ve had to turn away.
A client wants off VMware before the next renewal. Their insurer wants evidence of a tested restore, not a backup report. Mail has been landing in junk for three weeks and nobody can say why.
You can sell all of it. Staffing it is the problem. Hiring a senior infrastructure engineer for the two or three jobs a year that need one doesn’t add up, so the work gets declined, or it goes to a bigger MSP, and sometimes the client goes with it.
That’s the gap we fill. You keep the client and the margin. We do the engineering and leave.
What we take on
The work an MSP sells and can’t always staff. Each one links to the direct price list, so you can see the retail figure and set your own margin.
VMware exit & hypervisor migration
Proxmox and ZFS at production scale. Assessment, migration plan, execution, handover documentation.
Backup, DR & evidence
Restores actually performed, written up with a date on them. The document your client’s insurer or auditor is asking for.
Mail, identity & deliverability
SPF, DKIM, DMARC and the sign-in side. Diagnosis and remediation, with before-and-after evidence.
Kubernetes & container platforms
Build, upgrade, and cluster work that can’t take downtime.
Monitoring & observability
Grafana, Loki, real alerting. Something behind the “24/7 monitoring” line on your website.
Networks, firewalls & remote access
Segmentation, site-to-site, the parts that break at 2am.
Escalation & second opinion
Tier-3 you can call when a job has gone sideways.
Not on the list? Ask. If it isn’t something we’d do well, we’ll say so.
You call or send the scope
Fifteen minutes is usually enough to know whether it’s a fit.
You get one fixed number in writing
For scoped project work, the same as our direct quoting. No surprise variations. You mark it up however you like.
We work under your name
Your branding, your client communication, your project manager. We can join client calls as your engineer, or stay entirely behind you. Your call.
We hand it over and go
Documentation your team can actually run from. The engagement ends when the work does.
Your client stays your client.
We will not approach, market to, quote, or accept direct work from any client you introduce us to. Not during the engagement, and not after it.
That commitment goes in writing in every statement of work, and we’ll sign your mutual NDA before scope if you’d rather start there.
It’s not a concession. Subcontract work only functions if the MSP trusts it completely. The first time we took a partner’s client, we’d never get another partner. The incentive and the promise point the same way.
Partner rates
These are wholesale rates for IT providers subcontracting work. They sit below our direct project pricing because you carry the parts we don’t: the client relationship, the support desk, the account management and the sales cost. You’re buying engineering time, not a managed service.
Senior engineering, day rate
Scoped project work
Escalation & second opinion
Ongoing white-label support
Bands, not a rate card. Project work gets one fixed number in writing before anything starts. Day-rate and escalation work is billed as the time it takes, agreed up front. Melbourne metro onsite is included. Regional Victoria onsite by arrangement.
No GST is charged.
Who you’re actually dealing with
One engineer, not an agency. Our founder spends his working life as the senior systems architect for an Australian healthcare company under Privacy Act obligations: production Kubernetes, Proxmox and ZFS, multi-tenant SaaS, and infrastructure that has to hold up under healthcare compliance. Zander Custom Services is where that goes to work for other people’s clients.
That means two things for you. The depth is real and current, not certification-deep. And there’s one of us. We take on work we can actually deliver, and we’ll tell you when we’re full rather than let your client’s project slip.

Will you work under our brand?
Yes, by default. Your name on the documentation, your address on the client calls. We can also work openly as your specialist subcontractor if you’d rather be transparent with the client. Some MSPs prefer that. Your choice, agreed before we start.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. Mutual, and before scope if you want.
What if the project goes wrong?
Fixed price means the risk of it taking longer than we thought is ours, not yours. If we’ve got it wrong, we finish it at our cost.
How fast can you start?
Usually within two weeks for project work, sooner for escalations. You’ll get a real date, not an optimistic one.
Do you do after-hours?
No. We work business hours, AEST, and that goes in writing. Cutovers run in your client’s window by arrangement. If your client needs an incident line, that isn’t us, and we’ll say so on the call.
Do you work outside Victoria?
Remote anywhere in Australia. Onsite is Melbourne metro included, regional Victoria by arrangement, interstate at cost.
What size MSP do you work with?
Mostly one to twenty-five people. If you’re big enough to employ your own infrastructure specialist, you probably should.
Start with fifteen minutes.
Tell us what you’ve got in front of you. If we’re not the right answer we’ll say so, and if we know someone who is, we’ll point you at them.
